LYLY the Monkey’s Unusually Large Belly Piqued Her Mother’s Curiosity About What Was Inside

It was an ordinary afternoon when Lyly’s mother noticed something… unusual. LYLY, the playful little monkey who was always jumping, climbing, and chattering nonstop, seemed slower than usual. But what truly caught her mother’s attention was Lyly’s belly—it looked much bigger than normal.

At first, her mother thought maybe Lyly had simply eaten too much. After all, Lyly loved snacks more than anything. But as she watched her daughter waddle clumsily across the yard, holding her belly with both hands, suspicion began to grow. “Lyly… what did you eat?” her mother asked, raising an eyebrow.

Lyly froze. Her eyes widened for a split second before she forced a smile. “Nothing, Mom! I’m fine!” she replied quickly, trying to act normal. But the way she avoided eye contact only made things more suspicious.

Her mother stepped closer, gently tapping Lyly’s round belly. It felt oddly firm. Not like a full stomach—more like something was… inside. “This isn’t just food,” she said firmly. “Tell me the truth.”

Lyly hesitated, clearly torn between telling the truth and keeping her secret. She shuffled her feet nervously, glancing around as if searching for an escape. But her mother wasn’t going anywhere.

Finally, with a deep sigh, Lyly gave in. “Okay… don’t be mad,” she murmured.

Carefully, she lifted her shirt just a little—and suddenly, a small rustling sound came from inside. To her mother’s shock, out peeked tiny, curious eyes. Then another. And another.

Lyly had been hiding baby animals inside her shirt!

Her mother gasped in disbelief. “Lyly! What is this?” she exclaimed.

“I found them alone in the forest,” Lyly explained quickly. “They looked cold and scared, so I didn’t want to leave them. I didn’t know where else to keep them…”

For a moment, her mother didn’t know whether to laugh or scold her. But seeing the tiny creatures safe and warm, her heart softened.

“Oh, Lyly…” she said, shaking her head with a gentle smile. “You should have told me.”

Lyly grinned sheepishly, relieved. Her secret was finally out—and maybe, just maybe, she had done something good after all.
