It was a bright and breezy afternoon, and colorful clothes fluttered gently on the drying rack outside the family home. After finishing the morning chores, Mom looked at the clear blue sky and smiled.
“The laundry should be nice and dry now,” she said.
Baby Monkey Bibi heard her and quickly ran outside. “Mom, can I help you collect the clothes?” he asked eagerly.
Mom smiled warmly. “Of course! But be careful not to let anything fall on the ground.”
Bibi happily nodded and carried a small basket that was just the right size for him. He stretched his little arms as high as he could to reach the first towel hanging on the rack. With a gentle tug, he carefully removed it, folded it as neatly as he could, and placed it inside the basket.
“Great job!” Mom praised.
Encouraged by her kind words, Bibi continued helping. He carefully collected tiny shirts, colorful socks, soft blankets, and clean hand towels. Every time he folded a piece of clothing, he tried his best to make it look just like Mom’s neat folds.
A playful breeze suddenly blew across the yard, sending one of Dad’s shirts flying off the drying rack. Without wasting a second, Bibi laughed and chased after it across the grass.
“Don’t fly away!” he giggled.
After a short run, he caught the shirt before it landed in the muddy garden. Proud of himself, Bibi dusted it off gently and brought it back to Mom.
“You were so quick!” Mom laughed.
Soon, dark clouds began gathering in the sky. A few raindrops started to fall.
“We’d better hurry!” Mom said.
Working together, Mom and Bibi quickly collected the rest of the laundry just before the rain became heavier. They carried the full basket safely inside the house, smiling because they had finished in time.
Mom folded the clothes while Bibi matched pairs of socks and stacked the towels into neat piles. Although it was a simple chore, Bibi felt proud that he had been able to help his family.
That evening, Dad thanked Bibi for being such a hardworking little helper.
“You’ve made Mom’s job much easier today,” he said.
Bibi beamed with happiness. He learned that even small acts of kindness, like helping collect laundry, can make a big difference. By working together, every chore became faster, easier, and much more enjoyable, filling the home with love, teamwork, and cheerful smiles.
