The little baby monkey had been feeling scared all day. A sudden loud noise near the house had startled him, and ever since then, he had stayed close to the corner of his little bed. His bright, playful eyes looked worried, and he did not want to come out.
Dad noticed right away.
Normally, the baby monkey loved to run around, explore the garden, and play with everything he could find. But today, he was quiet and nervous.
Dad slowly walked over and sat beside him.
“It’s okay,” Dad whispered gently.
The baby monkey looked at him but remained still. Dad did not force him to come closer. Instead, he patiently stayed nearby, letting the little one know that he was not alone.
After a few minutes, Dad offered him his favorite fruit.
The baby monkey carefully reached out and took a small bite. Dad smiled warmly and gently stroked his head. Slowly, the little monkey began to relax.
Dad then picked him up and held him close against his chest.
The baby monkey could feel Dad’s warmth and hear the steady sound of his heartbeat. Little by little, his fear began to disappear. He held tightly onto Dad’s shirt, as if he never wanted to let go.
Dad carried him outside to a quiet, sunny spot in the garden. The birds were singing, and a soft breeze moved through the trees. Everything felt calm and peaceful.
At first, the baby monkey still looked around nervously.
But Dad stayed close.
Whenever the little monkey became worried, Dad gently held his hand and reminded him that he was safe. Soon, the baby monkey started to look around with curiosity again.
Dad smiled when he saw the familiar sparkle returning to his little friend’s eyes.
Before long, the baby monkey spotted a leaf dancing in the wind. He reached for it, then giggled when it flew away. Dad laughed happily.
That small laugh was a sign that his confidence was returning.
The baby monkey began exploring again, taking tiny steps while Dad stayed close behind him. Every few moments, he turned around to make sure Dad was still there.
And Dad always was.
As the afternoon came to an end, the baby monkey climbed into Dad’s arms once more. This time, he was no longer trembling or afraid. He rested his little head against Dad and closed his eyes peacefully.
Thanks to Dad’s patience, warmth, and loving care, the baby monkey finally felt safe again.
Sometimes, all it takes is a gentle hug and the comfort of someone who truly loves you to make the world feel safe once more. ❤️🐵
