It started as an ordinary afternoon in the forest. Baby Monkey was happily playing with colorful leaves and chasing butterflies while Dad finished repairing the family’s wooden fence. The little monkey was laughing so loudly that everyone nearby could hear his cheerful giggles.
But while running around, Baby Monkey accidentally knocked over Dad’s toolbox. Hammers, nails, and little wooden pieces scattered across the ground. The loud crash made Dad quickly turn around.
For just a moment, Dad wore a serious expression as he looked at the mess. Baby Monkey saw that one look and immediately froze. His little heart began to race.
“Oh no… Dad must be very angry!” he thought.
Without waiting to hear a single word, Baby Monkey turned around and ran as fast as his tiny legs could carry him. He dashed through the garden, hid behind a large tree, and curled into a small ball, feeling scared and ashamed.
Dad looked around in surprise. “Where did he go?” he asked.
Mom gently smiled and said, “I think he misunderstood your expression. Go find him and talk to him.”
Dad searched around the yard until he spotted Baby Monkey peeking from behind the tree. Kneeling down, Dad spoke in a calm and gentle voice.
“Come here, little one. I’m not angry.”
Baby Monkey slowly stepped forward with tears in his eyes. “I broke your things,” he whispered. “I thought you were going to scold me.”
Dad wrapped him in a warm hug.
“I was only surprised by the loud noise,” Dad explained. “Accidents happen. What matters is telling the truth and helping fix the problem.”
Baby Monkey felt relieved. Together they returned to the yard and carefully picked up every tool. Dad showed him how to safely organize the toolbox, and Baby Monkey happily helped with every item.
When the work was finished, Mom prepared fresh fruit for everyone to enjoy. The family laughed together as Baby Monkey admitted how frightened he had been after seeing Dad’s serious face.
Dad smiled and gently reminded him, “Never run away because you’re afraid. If something goes wrong, we can always talk and solve it together.”
Baby Monkey nodded with a big smile. He realized that love is stronger than fear, and honest conversations are the best way to understand each other. From that day on, whenever he made a mistake, he chose to speak up instead of running away, knowing his family would always guide him with patience, kindness, and love.
