It was a quiet afternoon, and Baby Monkey was playing happily around the house while Dad worked in the garden. With Mom busy preparing lunch, Baby Monkey found a small cardboard box tucked away in the corner of the living room. Curious as always, the little monkey opened it and discovered colorful craft supplies, ribbons, and a blank greeting card.
Baby Monkey suddenly had a wonderful idea. Dad’s birthday was only a few days away, and this could become the perfect surprise. Wanting to make the gift extra special, Baby Monkey quietly invited an older sibling to help decorate the card. Together, they drew funny family pictures, glued on colorful paper flowers, and wrote a heartfelt message thanking Dad for always taking care of everyone.
The two little helpers giggled as they worked, making sure to whisper so Dad wouldn’t hear them. When they finished, they carefully hid the handmade card and a tiny wrapped gift inside the closet.
“We have to keep this a secret,” Baby Monkey whispered with a grin. “Dad can never find out!”
For the next two days, Baby Monkey acted as normally as possible. Every time Dad walked near the closet, the little monkey became nervous and quickly changed the subject or suggested going outside to play. Dad noticed the unusual behavior but simply smiled without saying anything.
On the evening before his birthday, Dad accidentally opened the closet while looking for a flashlight. A colorful ribbon slipped onto the floor, catching his attention. He spotted the hidden package and immediately realized that Baby Monkey had been planning a surprise.
