Baby monkey Xuka was having a peaceful afternoon at home when something very unusual caught her attention. Mom had just returned from the market carrying a small basket filled with fresh ingredients. Xuka immediately became curious and followed her into the kitchen, hoping there might be a tasty treat waiting for her.
As Mom unpacked the basket, Xuka watched carefully from a safe distance. She recognized the bananas, apples, and vegetables, but then Mom pulled out something Xuka had never seen before. It was a strange-looking food with an unusual shape and color.
Xuka froze.
Her big eyes became wider as she stared at the mysterious food. She slowly moved closer, tilted her head to one side, and carefully inspected it. Then she looked at Mom as if asking, “What is that?”

Xuka stretched out one tiny hand and touched the strange food. The moment it moved slightly, she quickly pulled her hand back and looked surprised. She sniffed it from a distance before cautiously getting closer again.

Mom smiled and waited patiently.

This time, her expression completely changed. Her eyes brightened, and she seemed pleasantly surprised by the flavor. What looked strange at first was actually quite delicious!
Xuka happily continued eating, occasionally looking at Mom as if she couldn’t believe she had almost refused such a tasty treat.
Mom gently laughed and gave her another small piece. Xuka eagerly accepted it, proving that sometimes the strangest-looking things can become the most exciting discoveries.
