Baby Monkey Zika Was Sad and Cried When Bebe the Goat Went Away… | Part 1

It was a peaceful morning on the farm, and Baby Monkey Zika woke up excited to spend another fun-filled day with his best friend, Bebe the little goat. The two friends loved exploring the fields together, chasing butterflies, and sharing tasty fruits under the shade of a big tree. Wherever Zika went, Bebe was never far behind.

After breakfast, Zika happily ran to Bebe’s pen with a basket of fresh leaves. But as he arrived, he stopped in surprise. The pen was empty.

“Bebe?” Zika called softly.

There was no answer.

Thinking Bebe might be hiding, Zika searched behind the barn, near the vegetable garden, and beside the small pond. He checked all of their favorite places, but Bebe was nowhere to be found.

Confused and worried, Zika hurried to his dad.

“Dad, have you seen Bebe?” he asked with tears beginning to fill his eyes.

Dad gently placed a hand on Zika’s shoulder and explained that Bebe had gone with a kind farmer to a nearby farm for a while. The farmer needed Bebe’s help keeping the grass short in a large field.

Although Dad promised that Bebe would be well cared for, Zika couldn’t hide his sadness. He missed his best friend already.

The farm suddenly felt quiet without the cheerful little goat. Zika walked slowly through the yard, carrying the basket of leaves he had picked especially for Bebe. Every corner reminded him of the fun adventures they had shared.

As the afternoon passed, Zika sat beneath their favorite tree and hugged Bebe’s small bell, which had accidentally been left behind. Listening to its gentle jingle made him remember all the happy moments they had spent together.

Mom noticed how lonely Zika looked and sat beside him.

“It’s okay to miss someone you love,” she said kindly. “True friends stay in your heart, even when they’re far away.”

Zika wiped away his tears, but he still wished Bebe could come back soon. Before sunset, he decided to make a special gift for his friend—a colorful friendship necklace made from flowers and leaves. He hoped to give it to Bebe the moment they met again.

As the stars appeared in the night sky, Zika looked toward the distant hills and whispered, “Come back soon, Bebe. I miss you.”
