It started as a normal morning, with CUTIS getting ready to head outside for the day. But the moment he reached the front gate, he froze in confusion. Standing right in the middle of the entrance was a stubborn goat, calmly chewing and completely blocking the way.
“Uh… Buem!” CUTIS called nervously. “We’ve got a problem!”
Buem rushed over and burst out laughing at the sight. “It’s just a goat, CUTIS! Why are you so scared?”
CUTIS crossed his arms, clearly unsure. “It’s not ‘just a goat.’ Look at it—it’s not moving at all!”
The goat glanced at them briefly, then went back to chewing as if it owned the place. CUTIS took a small step forward but quickly stepped back when the goat shifted slightly.
“Nope. I’m not dealing with that,” he said.
Buem grinned, a spark of confidence in his eyes. “Don’t worry. I’ve got this!”
CUTIS raised an eyebrow. “You do?”
Without hesitation, Buem walked up to the goat slowly, keeping his movements calm and steady. “Hey there, buddy,” he said gently. “Mind letting us through?”
The goat blinked but didn’t move.
CUTIS watched from a safe distance, half-impressed and half-worried. “Be careful!” he whispered loudly.
Thinking quickly, Buem picked up a handful of fresh leaves from nearby and held them out. The goat’s ears perked up instantly. Its attention shifted from blocking the gate to the tasty snack in Buem’s hand.
“That’s it…” Buem said softly, taking a few steps away from the gate while holding the leaves out.
Sure enough, the goat followed him, happily munching along. Within seconds, the path to the gate was completely clear.
CUTIS’s jaw dropped. “No way… you actually did it!”
Buem dusted his hands proudly. “See? You just have to understand what they want.”
CUTIS laughed, shaking his head in amazement. “Okay, that was impressive. I didn’t think you’d pull it off.”
Buem smiled confidently. “Sometimes, you don’t need strength—you just need a little smart thinking.”
As they walked out together, CUTIS couldn’t stop smiling. Buem hadn’t just solved the problem—he had completely surprised him.
