CUTIS woke up early with a big smile and an exciting idea. He wanted to surprise Baby Yen Nhu, Mom, and Dad by baking a brand-new style of bread that no one in the family had ever tasted before. Although he had baked simple bread with Mom many times, this would be his very first recipe created all by himself.
“I hope everyone loves it!” CUTIS said excitedly as he tied on his little chef’s apron.

After kneading the dough, CUTIS shaped it into cute little flower and heart designs. Baby Yen Nhu peeked into the kitchen and clapped happily.
“The bread looks so pretty!” she giggled.
CUTIS carefully placed the bread into the oven. While it baked, a wonderful smell filled the entire house. Dad followed the delicious aroma straight to the kitchen.

When the timer rang, CUTIS carefully took the golden-brown bread out of the oven with Mom’s help. The bread looked fluffy, colorful, and beautifully shaped.
Everyone gathered around the table for the big taste test. CUTIS felt a little nervous as Mom picked up the first piece.
She smiled after the first bite.
“It’s soft, fresh, and absolutely delicious!”
Dad quickly reached for another piece.
“I’ve never tasted bread quite like this,” he said with a grin.
Baby Yen Nhu happily nibbled her tiny slice and gave CUTIS a big thumbs-up.
“It’s my favorite!” she cheered.
