One early morning, CUTIS woke up and immediately noticed something strange around the house. The yard was unusually quiet, and the playful baby monkey who usually greeted everyone with cheerful chatter was nowhere to be seen. CUTIS looked around the trees, under the table, and even inside the small basket where the baby monkey loved to nap—but there was no sign of the little friend.
Worried, CUTIS ran to tell Dad. “Dad! The baby monkey is missing!” he said anxiously. Dad quickly came outside and began searching around the garden as well. They called the baby monkey’s name again and again, hoping to hear a tiny response, but the only sound was the rustling leaves in the morning breeze.
Realizing that the baby monkey might have wandered farther away, Dad made an important decision. “CUTIS, we should split up to find the baby monkey faster,” he said calmly. “You check near the fruit trees and the small hill behind the house. I’ll look near the river path and the bamboo grove.”
CUTIS nodded bravely, even though he felt nervous. He loved the baby monkey and didn’t want anything bad to happen. As he walked toward the fruit trees, he carefully looked up into the branches and called softly, “Where are you, little one?”
Meanwhile, Dad searched the other side of the yard. He checked behind the wooden fence and along the quiet river path. Suddenly, he thought he heard a faint squeak coming from the bamboo grove.
At the same time, CUTIS noticed something moving high in one of the mango trees. Looking closer, he saw a tiny tail swinging gently between the branches. “Baby monkey!” CUTIS shouted happily.
Dad quickly ran over after hearing CUTIS’ voice. There, sitting safely but nervously on a branch, was the little monkey who had climbed too high and didn’t know how to come down.
With patience and care, Dad helped guide the baby monkey down while CUTIS waited below with open arms. The moment the baby monkey reached the ground, it jumped straight into CUTIS’ hug.
Everyone laughed with relief. CUTIS promised to keep a closer eye on the adventurous little monkey next time. What started as a scary morning ended with smiles, hugs, and a very happy reunion. 🐒💛
