The sun had just risen over the peaceful countryside when little monkey CUTIS eagerly woke up. Today was a very special day because Dad had promised they would spend the entire morning harvesting one of Vietnam’s most unique and delicious fruits. Wearing a tiny straw hat and carrying a small woven basket, CUTIS couldn’t wait to begin the adventure.
As they walked through the lush orchard, Dad explained how much patience and care it takes to grow healthy fruit. The trees were filled with bright, ripe pomelos, a famous Vietnamese fruit known for its sweet, juicy flavor and refreshing taste. Their large green fruits hung heavily from the branches, ready to be picked after months of careful nurturing.
CUTIS listened closely and watched every step Dad took. Dad showed him how to gently hold each pomelo and carefully cut the stem without damaging the fruit or the tree. CUTIS tried his best to copy Dad’s movements. Although his first few attempts were a little clumsy, he never gave up. Soon, he proudly harvested his very first perfect pomelo.
The busy father-and-son team continued filling basket after basket. Along the way, colorful birds sang from the trees while butterflies fluttered among the flowers. Every successful harvest brought smiles to their faces. Dad praised CUTIS for working hard, reminding him that farming is not just about collecting fruit—it is about respecting nature and appreciating every season’s gifts.
After several hours, the baskets were overflowing with fresh pomelos. They carried the harvest to the family home, where Mom happily welcomed them with cool drinks and a delicious homemade lunch. She admired the beautiful fruit and congratulated CUTIS on becoming such a helpful little farmer.
In the afternoon, the family carefully packed the finest pomelos to share with neighbors and sell at the local market. Everyone who tasted the sweet fruit complimented its wonderful flavor and freshness.
As the sun slowly set behind the orchard, CUTIS looked at the trees with pride. He realized that every delicious fruit represented months of love, hard work, and teamwork. Tired but happy, CUTIS hugged Dad, already looking forward to their next farming adventure together in the beautiful Vietnamese countryside.
