CUTIS was known as the most mischievous little monkey in the neighborhood. Every single day, he caused funny trouble around the house — stealing bananas, hiding Dad’s slippers, and even splashing water on the chickens just for fun. Because of this, Mom was always keeping an eye on him.
But one morning, something very unusual happened.
CUTIS woke up earlier than everyone else. Instead of running around noisily like he normally did, he quietly tiptoed out of bed and disappeared into the backyard. Mom noticed the strange silence immediately.
“Why is CUTIS so quiet today?” she wondered suspiciously.
She peeked outside but couldn’t find him anywhere. The little monkey seemed to have vanished completely. Mom became worried and started searching around the garden, near the pond, and even behind the old tractor.
Still no sign of CUTIS.
Hours later, CUTIS finally returned home covered in dirt and leaves. His tiny hands were hiding something behind his back, but he refused to show anyone. Every time Mom asked what he was doing, he simply smiled mysteriously and ran away again.
Dad laughed and said, “That little monkey is definitely planning something.”
As evening arrived, Mom entered her room and suddenly froze in complete shock.
On the old wooden table stood a beautiful bouquet made of wild flowers, tied together clumsily with a tiny string. Beside it was a small handmade card covered with colorful fingerprints and messy drawings.
The card read:
“To Mom ❤️
Thank you for loving CUTIS even when I’m naughty.”
Mom’s eyes instantly filled with tears.
She realized CUTIS had secretly spent the entire day gathering flowers from the field and making the card by himself. Some flowers were crushed, the string was uneven, and the handwriting was messy — but it was the most heartfelt gift she had ever received.
At that moment, CUTIS slowly peeked out from behind the door, looking nervous.
“Mom… do you like it?” he asked softly.
Before he could say another word, Mom rushed over and hugged him tightly. Tears rolled down her cheeks while CUTIS smiled shyly in her arms.
Even Dad became emotional watching the sweet moment.
