For many weeks, nobody had seen CUTIS around the village. The mischievous little monkey had suddenly disappeared into the deep forest after causing trouble near the market. Some animals thought he had gone away forever, while others wondered if he was secretly planning another prank. His mother missed him terribly and often sat quietly outside their small house, hoping he would return soon.
One cool morning, the peaceful village was suddenly filled with excitement. A squirrel shouted from the treetops, “CUTIS is back! CUTIS returned from the forest!”
Everyone rushed outside to look. Sure enough, CUTIS was slowly walking down the dusty path carrying a huge bag on his back. But something about him seemed different. He looked calmer, stronger, and more serious than before. The villagers whispered curiously as he smiled shyly and continued walking toward the center of town.
“What is he carrying?” asked the rabbit baker.
“Maybe more trouble!” joked the duck, making everyone laugh nervously.
But CUTIS surprised them all.
Instead of causing chaos, he opened his large bag and pulled out dozens of tiny tree seedlings. Mango trees, banana plants, flower seeds, and young bamboo shoots covered the ground. Everyone stared in complete shock.
“I spent my time in the forest learning from nature,” CUTIS explained. “I realized our village has very few trees left because of storms and dry weather. I want to help make it green and beautiful again.”
The animals could hardly believe their ears.
CUTIS immediately got to work digging holes near the riverbank. Soon, curious villagers began helping him. The piglet carried water buckets while the puppies dug tiny holes with their paws. Even the elderly tortoise carefully planted flower seeds beside the road.
By afternoon, the village looked completely different. Fresh young trees lined the pathways, colorful flowers decorated empty spaces, and everyone smiled proudly at their teamwork.
But CUTIS still had one final surprise.
Near the village entrance, he planted a special giant mango tree dedicated to his mother. Beside it stood a small wooden sign that read: “Thank you for never giving up on me.”
When his mother saw it, tears filled her eyes. She hugged CUTIS tightly while the villagers cheered loudly around them.
From that day on, everyone remembered the moment CUTIS returned from the forest—not as a troublemaker, but as the monkey who changed the village with kindness and hope.
