One bright morning, CUTIS woke up with a very serious craving. He wanted one thing and one thing only—delicious grilled pork noodles! The thought of smoky grilled pork, soft noodles, fresh vegetables, and a tasty sauce made his stomach rumble.
But there was one small problem: Dad was busy and had not noticed CUTIS’s hungry expression.
CUTIS tried to ask politely at first.
“Dad, can we have grilled pork noodles today?” he asked.
Dad smiled but continued with his work. “Maybe later, CUTIS.”
CUTIS sat quietly for a moment, thinking carefully. Then, suddenly, a mischievous smile appeared on his face. If simply asking was not enough, perhaps he needed a more creative plan!
CUTIS looked around and found the most unexpected “prop” he could use—a large empty cooking bowl. He placed it on his head like a funny helmet and marched proudly toward Dad.
Dad looked up and immediately burst out laughing.
“What are you doing?” Dad asked.
CUTIS pointed dramatically at the bowl, rubbed his tummy, and pretended to search everywhere for food. Then he made funny slurping sounds and acted as if he were eating an invisible bowl of noodles.
Dad finally understood.
“Oh! Someone is asking for grilled pork noodles!” Dad laughed.
CUTIS jumped up and down excitedly. His unusual performance had worked! Dad decided that CUTIS’s creativity deserved a special reward. Together, they headed out for a fun little food tour to find the perfect grilled pork noodles.
As they walked, CUTIS excitedly looked at every food stall. The delicious smell of grilled meat filled the air, making him even hungrier. Finally, they found a place serving beautiful bowls of noodles topped with freshly grilled pork.
CUTIS could hardly wait!
When the bowl arrived, his eyes became huge. He happily watched Dad mix everything together before taking his first bite. The flavor was even better than he had imagined!
CUTIS smiled proudly at Dad and lifted his funny bowl “helmet” one more time. Dad laughed again, realizing that CUTIS had turned a simple request into a hilarious food adventure.
From that day on, Dad knew one thing for sure: whenever CUTIS had a creative “prop” ready, something funny—and delicious—was probably about to happen!
