It all started with a whisper.
CUTIS leaned close to BUEM and said, “Let’s surprise Dad today!” BUEM’s eyes sparkled with excitement. A surprise sounded fun… but CUTIS had something even more mischievous in mind.
Earlier that morning, Dad had joked that he was too busy to snack and would only eat vegetables all day. CUTIS and BUEM looked at each other in disbelief. No snacks? No treats? That simply wouldn’t do.
So the two quietly gathered their small savings and tiptoed out, determined to buy Dad’s favorite foods. They walked carefully to the nearby market, trying their best not to be noticed. CUTIS proudly carried a little basket while BUEM double-checked their list.
Into the basket went Dad’s favorite crispy chicken, sweet pastries, and a big bottle of his favorite juice. They even added a small chocolate bar “just in case,” as BUEM insisted.
When they returned home, they hid everything in the kitchen. That’s when CUTIS revealed the second part of the plan — the prank.
They arranged a plate of plain vegetables on the dining table and called Dad loudly. “Lunch is ready!” CUTIS announced, trying not to giggle.
Dad walked in, smiling confidently. But when he saw the lonely plate of vegetables, his face froze. “Oh… this is it?” he asked slowly.
BUEM nodded very seriously. “Healthy day, Dad.”
Dad sighed dramatically and picked up a piece of broccoli. CUTIS and BUEM could barely hold in their laughter as he forced a big bite, pretending to enjoy it.
Just as Dad looked completely defeated, CUTIS clapped his hands. “Wait! That’s not all!”
BUEM rushed to the kitchen and brought out the hidden feast. The table quickly filled with delicious food. Dad’s eyes widened in shock.
“You tricked me!” he laughed.
The house filled with laughter as Dad hugged both of them tightly. “Best prank ever,” he admitted.
In the end, it wasn’t just about the joke. It was about love, teamwork, and the joy of surprising someone special.
And CUTIS and BUEM? They were already planning their next adventure.
