The day began perfectly for a tiny kitten named Xia Mi. She had spent the morning exploring every corner of her cozy home, chasing toy mice, and curling up in sunny spots for short naps. Her fluffy fur was soft, and her bright eyes sparkled with curiosity.
After an exciting morning, Xia Mi found a dusty cardboard box in the corner of the room. It seemed like the perfect place for an adventure. She jumped inside, rolled around, and emerged covered in dust and little bits of paper.
Her owner laughed when she saw the messy kitten.
“Oh, Xia Mi,” she said with a smile. “I think it’s time for your very first bath!”
At first, everything still seemed fine. Xia Mi didn’t know what a bath was, so she followed her owner into the bathroom without any worries. She looked around curiously at the shiny sink, the towels, and the strange sounds of running water.
But the moment the warm water touched her paws, everything changed.
“Meeeowww!”
Xia Mi’s eyes grew wide with surprise. She tried to climb out of the sink, stretching her tiny paws toward safety. The fluffy kitten who had been so brave moments before suddenly looked completely confused.
Her owner gently spoke to her and carefully supported her while slowly washing her fur. Xia Mi protested with dramatic little meows, as if she were experiencing the greatest challenge of her life.
The funniest part came when her fluffy coat became completely wet. Without her thick fur puffed up, Xia Mi looked half her usual size. She stared at her reflection in disbelief, almost as if she couldn’t recognize herself.
After a few minutes, the bath was finished. Xia Mi was wrapped in a soft, warm towel and cuddled close. Slowly, she began to calm down.
Then came the drying process. As the warm air gently fluffed her fur back to normal, Xia Mi started feeling much better. Soon, she was purring again and enjoying all the extra attention.
By the evening, the little kitten was clean, soft, and happy. Her first bath had been full of surprises, funny reactions, and dramatic meows—but in the end, Xia Mi learned that baths weren’t so scary after all.
