Farmer Zika Helps Dad Harvest Rice in the Garden to Prepare Dinner

Farmer Zika woke up early in the morning, excited to spend another fun day with his dad. As the warm sunshine spread across the sky, Dad smiled and said, “Today is a special day! We’re going to harvest the rice from our garden and prepare a delicious family dinner.” Zika happily grabbed his little straw hat and followed Dad into the golden rice field.

The rice plants gently swayed in the breeze, looking ready for harvest. Dad showed Zika how to carefully cut the ripe stalks without damaging them. Zika listened closely and worked as carefully as he could. Although the bundles of rice were a little heavy, he never complained. Instead, he proudly carried each bundle to the basket, determined to help his father.

After all the rice had been gathered, they spread the stalks out to dry in the warm sunshine. Dad explained how rice must be separated from the stalks before it can become the fluffy white rice everyone enjoys eating. Zika found the process fascinating and eagerly helped every step of the way. He realized that every bowl of rice requires patience, teamwork, and hard work.

Once the fresh rice was ready, they returned home to prepare dinner together. Dad washed the newly harvested rice while Zika picked fresh vegetables from the garden. They also collected a few eggs from the family’s chickens. Soon the kitchen filled with wonderful smells as Dad cooked steamed rice, vegetable soup, and a tasty egg dish.

When everything was finished, Mom and the whole family gathered around the table. Everyone smiled as they enjoyed the meal made with ingredients they had harvested together. Dad praised Zika for being such a hardworking little farmer, and Mom thanked him for helping make dinner so special.

As the sun slowly set behind the fields, Zika felt proud and happy. He had learned that farming is not always easy, but working together with family makes every task enjoyable. The fresh rice tasted even better because it was grown with love and harvested with care. Zika couldn’t wait for the next adventure on the family farm, knowing every harvest brings another chance to learn, help, and create happy memories together.
