It was still very early in the morning when Dad’s alarm clock started ringing loudly beside the bed. But instead of waking up, Dad simply turned off the alarm, pulled the blanket over his head, and continued sleeping peacefully.
Little CUTIS noticed everything.
The funny little boy stood beside the bed with wide eyes, realizing Dad was going to be late for work again. Mom was busy preparing breakfast in the kitchen, so CUTIS decided to handle the situation himself.
At first, CUTIS tried waking Dad up gently.
“Dad… wake up,” he whispered softly while poking Dad’s arm.
But Dad only mumbled something sleepy and rolled over.
CUTIS frowned seriously. He knew he needed a better plan.
The clever little boy suddenly ran into the bathroom and filled a tiny cup with cold water. Then he carefully climbed onto the bed and stood beside Dad’s pillow with a mischievous smile on his face.
Mom secretly watched from the kitchen doorway, already trying not to laugh.
“Wake up, Dad…” CUTIS warned one last time.
Still no response.

CUTIS poured the cold water directly onto Dad’s cheek.
Dad jumped up instantly with a loud shout, completely shocked and confused. His hair was messy, his blanket fell onto the floor, and he looked around the room in total panic while CUTIS burst into uncontrollable laughter.
Mom laughed so hard she almost dropped the breakfast plates.
But CUTIS wasn’t finished yet.
As Dad sat up trying to recover from the surprise, CUTIS quickly grabbed Dad’s work tie and wrapped it around his own head like a superhero. Then he marched proudly across the room shouting, “Dad is late! Dad is late!”
Even Dad couldn’t stop laughing anymore.
The sleepy father finally checked the clock and realized CUTIS had actually saved him from being late to work. Smiling warmly, Dad picked CUTIS up into his arms and said, “You’re the funniest alarm clock ever!”
CUTIS giggled proudly while the whole family laughed together. From that day on, Dad never ignored his morning alarm again—because he knew little CUTIS might invent an even funnier way to wake him up next time.
