One peaceful afternoon, Mom was busy cleaning the kitchen while little CUTIS quietly watched her from the living room. Usually, CUTIS was playful and energetic, but today he looked suspiciously calm.
That should have been the first warning.
While Mom focused on washing dishes, CUTIS secretly came up with a funny prank idea. Earlier that morning, he had discovered a toy spider hidden inside his toy box. The tiny black spider looked surprisingly realistic, and CUTIS immediately knew exactly what he wanted to do with it.
He giggled mischievously and tiptoed into the kitchen.
Carefully, CUTIS placed the fake spider inside a bowl on the counter and then quickly ran away pretending nothing had happened. After that, he sat quietly behind the door, waiting excitedly to see Mom’s reaction.
A few moments later, Mom reached for the bowl.
The instant she saw the “spider,” she jumped backward with a loud scream that echoed through the house. A spoon dropped onto the floor while Mom covered her face in shock.
CUTIS could no longer hold in his laughter.
He rolled across the floor laughing so hard that tears came out of his eyes. When Mom finally realized the spider was fake, she stared at CUTIS with complete disbelief before bursting into laughter herself.
But the funny prank didn’t end there.
Feeling proud of his successful joke, CUTIS decided to continue acting dramatically. He picked up the toy spider and pretended to be terrified of it too. He ran around the house shouting, “Spider! Spider!” while Mom chased after him trying to catch the naughty little prankster.
Soon, the whole family gathered to see what was happening. Everyone laughed as CUTIS dramatically climbed onto the sofa pretending the toy spider was chasing him.
Even Dad couldn’t stop laughing at the silly performance.
Finally, Mom gently hugged CUTIS and warned him not to scare her like that again. CUTIS smiled innocently and promised to behave… though the mischievous sparkle in his eyes suggested he was probably already planning his next funny prank.
That evening, the house was filled with endless laughter thanks to CUTIS and his unexpected joke.
