One early morning, Monkey Lily woke up much earlier than usual after hearing strange noises near the front door. Rubbing her sleepy eyes, she quickly realized that her dad was preparing to leave for work. The little monkey immediately became sad because she wanted to spend more time with him at home.
Every day, Lily’s father worked very hard to take care of the family, but Lily often missed him whenever he was away. On this particular morning, she decided she would do everything possible to stop him from leaving the house.
As her dad picked up his bag and shoes, Lily quietly followed behind him with a worried expression. First, she gently grabbed onto his leg and refused to let go. A few minutes later, her dad looked everywhere for the missing shoe while Lily sat nearby pretending to know nothing. Even after the shoe was found, Lily still refused to give up. She climbed onto her father’s lap and offered him her favorite toy as if trying to convince him to stay home and play instead. Her innocent face melted her father’s heart instantly. He hugged Lily warmly and spent a few extra minutes cuddling with her before leaving.
Finally, realizing her dad truly had to go, Lily slowly walked to the door with him. Although she still looked sad, she lovingly waved goodbye while standing in her mother’s arms. Before driving away, her father promised to return home early with a special treat for her.
