“Oh, Lyly!” she said between laughs. “That’s not a hat—it’s a dinner plate!”
Lyly looked surprised. She carefully removed the plate and examined it again.
“A plate?” she asked.
“Yes,” Mom said, still chuckling.
Realizing her mistake, Lyly started laughing too. Soon, both mother and daughter were laughing together.
The funny moment became the highlight of their day. Even after lunch, Mom couldn’t stop smiling whenever she looked at the plate.
