It was a bright and cheerful morning in the little jungle village. Baby Monkey Abu woke up with a rumbling tummy. He stretched his tiny arms, rubbed his sleepy eyes, and quickly ran to find his mom. His stomach growled so loudly that even the birds in the trees seemed to hear it.
“Mom! Mom!” Abu called sweetly. “I’m so hungry! Can you please make your delicious fried rice?”
His mother smiled warmly at her adorable little monkey. She couldn’t resist Abu’s sparkling eyes and hopeful face. “Of course, my little one,” she replied. “But you’ll have to help me cook!”
Abu happily clapped his hands. “Yay! I’ll be your little chef!”
Together, they went to the kitchen. Mom gathered fresh rice, colorful carrots, green peas, sweet corn, eggs, and a few tasty seasonings. Abu carefully washed the vegetables while his mom chopped them into tiny pieces. He tried his best to help, although he accidentally dropped a pea onto the floor, making them both laugh.
Soon, Mom heated the frying pan. The sizzling sound filled the room as she added vegetables, fluffy rice, and scrambled eggs. The wonderful aroma spread through the house, making Abu’s tummy growl even louder.
“It smells amazing!” Abu exclaimed, standing on his little stool so he could watch every step.
Mom handed him a wooden spoon. “Would you like to stir it gently?”
Abu carefully stirred the fried rice with all his strength. He felt so proud to be helping his mom prepare lunch. After adding a pinch of seasoning, the fried rice was finally ready.
Mom served the delicious meal onto a cute little plate shaped like a monkey face. Abu couldn’t wait another second. He took a tiny bite, and his eyes became wide with happiness.
“Wow! This is the best fried rice ever!” he said with a huge smile.
Mom laughed softly. “I think it tastes even better because we cooked it together.”
Abu nodded happily and continued eating every single bite. After finishing, he gave his mom the biggest hug.
“Thank you, Mom! You’re the best cook in the whole jungle!”
His mother kissed his forehead and smiled. “Seeing you happy is the sweetest reward.”
From that day on, whenever Abu felt hungry, he didn’t just ask for fried rice—he also asked if they could cook it together. Their little kitchen became a place filled with laughter, teamwork, delicious meals, and precious family memories that warmed their hearts every single day.
