It started as a quiet afternoon at home when Mom said she wasn’t feeling well. She had a headache and looked very tired, so Dad gave her some medicine and helped her rest on the sofa. Little Lala stayed close by, gently holding Mom’s hand and hoping she would feel better soon.
At first, everything seemed normal. Mom closed her eyes and tried to sleep while Dad brought her water and covered her with a soft blanket. But after a short while, something frightening happened.
Mom suddenly began breathing faster, and her face looked even paler than before. She pressed her hand to her chest and whispered that she felt dizzy. Lala’s eyes grew wide with fear. “Dad, Mom looks worse!” she cried, her tiny voice shaking.
Dad rushed to Mom’s side, his heart pounding. He touched her forehead and noticed she was sweating. Her condition had clearly gotten worse after taking the medicine. For a moment, both Dad and Lala panicked, not knowing what had gone wrong.
Trying to stay calm, Dad quickly checked the medicine bottle again. Then he realized Mom might be having a bad reaction to it. Without wasting a second, he called the doctor for help and explained everything. The doctor advised them to bring Mom to the hospital immediately.
Lala held Mom’s bag tightly while Dad carefully helped her into the car. During the ride, Lala kept whispering, “Please be okay, Mom,” with tears in her eyes.
At the hospital, the doctors examined Mom right away. After treatment and careful monitoring, they explained that she had an allergic reaction to one of the ingredients in the medicine. Thankfully, Dad had acted quickly, and Mom was now safe.
A few hours later, Mom smiled weakly from the hospital bed, reassuring Lala that she was going to be fine. Lala hugged her tightly, finally able to breathe again.
That scary day taught Lala and Dad how important it is to stay calm, act fast, and always be careful with medicine. Most of all, it reminded them how deeply they loved Mom.
