Lala’s Family Puts Their Farm Pond Project on Hold After Mom Gets Injured!

Lala’s family had been looking forward to finishing their new farm pond for weeks. Every morning, Dad carefully dug the soil, Lala carried small buckets of sand, and little Bibi happily collected smooth stones to decorate the edges. Mom helped organize the tools, prepared cool drinks, and encouraged everyone with her cheerful smile. The family dreamed of filling the pond with clear water where ducks could swim and the crops could receive fresh irrigation.

One sunny afternoon, they gathered to continue working on the project. Dad was shaping the sides of the pond while Lala and Bibi removed small rocks from the ground. Mom walked over to move a pile of gardening supplies out of the way. As she stepped across the uneven ground, she accidentally slipped on a loose patch of dirt and twisted her ankle.

“Ouch!” Mom cried as she carefully sat down.

Everyone immediately stopped working. Dad rushed over to check on her while Lala and Bibi looked worried. Dad gently helped Mom onto a nearby chair and carefully examined her ankle. It was sore and beginning to swell.

Without hesitation, Dad made an important decision.

“The pond can wait,” he said kindly. “Right now, taking care of Mom is our most important job.”

Lala quickly brought a cold ice pack and a soft pillow to support Mom’s foot. Bibi fetched a glass of water and covered Mom with a light blanket so she could rest comfortably. Their teamwork showed how much they loved and cared for one another.

After making sure Mom was comfortable, Dad contacted the local clinic for advice. The doctor explained that Mom had a mild ankle sprain and would need several days of rest before returning to outdoor work. Hearing this, the family agreed to pause the pond project until she had fully recovered.

Although everyone felt a little disappointed, they understood that health always comes first. During the following days, Lala and Bibi helped with simple household chores while Dad took care of both the farm and Mom. They spent their evenings playing games together, sharing meals, and keeping Mom company as she recovered.

A week later, Mom’s ankle felt much better. She thanked her family for their kindness and patience. Together, they returned to the pond project with happy hearts, working carefully and safely.

When the beautiful pond was finally completed, it reminded everyone that family is more valuable than any project. The pond became a symbol of love, teamwork, and the lesson that caring for each other is always the greatest achievement of all.
