It was a bright summer morning, and the sunshine filled the garden with warmth. Mom planned to take LYLY to the park for a fun outdoor adventure, but before leaving, she reminded her, “The sun is very strong today, so we need to protect ourselves.”
LYLY nodded happily and ran to her room to find something to wear. She wanted to look extra fashionable while staying safe from the hot sun. After searching through her clothes, she found a colorful sun protection jacket with a hood. She zipped it all the way up, pulled the hood over her head, and even put on a pair of oversized sunglasses.
When LYLY walked back into the living room, Mom looked up and couldn’t believe her eyes. LYLY had also added a wide-brimmed hat on top of her hood, colorful rain boots, and tiny gloves. She looked like she was getting ready for every season at once!
LYLY proudly struck a pose like a runway model. She slowly twirled around, waved dramatically, and asked, “Mom, do I look cool?”
Mom tried to answer, but the funny outfit was simply too adorable. She burst into laughter, holding her tummy as happy tears filled her eyes. Even Dad, who had just come inside carrying a basket of fresh fruit, couldn’t stop laughing when he saw LYLY’s creative fashion.
Instead of feeling embarrassed, LYLY smiled even bigger. She giggled along with her parents and began pretending she was a famous fashion star walking down a red carpet. Every few steps she stopped to strike another silly pose, making everyone laugh even harder.
After the laughter settled, Mom gently explained that protecting skin from the sun is important, but wearing too many layers on a hot day could make someone feel uncomfortable. Together, they chose a lightweight sun protection jacket, a comfortable hat, and sunglasses that fit just right.
Soon the family headed to the park. They enjoyed feeding ducks, watching butterflies flutter among the flowers, and sharing fresh watermelon under a shady tree. LYLY stayed cool, comfortable, and protected from the sun while continuing to show off her cheerful smile.
On the way home, Mom smiled and said, “Fashion is wonderful, but the best style is wearing what keeps you safe and comfortable.” LYLY laughed, gave Mom a big hug, and promised to keep creating fun outfits that were both stylish and practical.
