One quiet afternoon, I was relaxing in my room upstairs when I suddenly heard some strange noises coming from the staircase. At first, I thought someone was moving furniture or carrying boxes, but when I looked outside, I couldn’t believe my eyes.
Little LYLY the monkey was slowly climbing the stairs while carrying one of her favorite toys!
The toy was almost as big as she was, and she struggled to keep her balance while carefully pulling it step by step. Every few seconds she would stop, rest for a moment, and then continue her mission with determination written all over her face.
I watched in complete surprise.
After finally reaching the top of the stairs, LYLY proudly placed the toy near my room and immediately ran back downstairs. I thought her job was finished, but only a few minutes later she returned carrying another toy. Then another one. And another!
Before long, my room had turned into a small playground filled with stuffed animals, colorful balls, toy cars, and all of LYLY’s favorite treasures.
What amazed me most was how serious she looked throughout the entire process. She wasn’t playing around or getting distracted. It was as if she had created an important plan and was determined to complete it no matter how long it took.
Eventually, LYLY entered the room, looked around at the collection of toys she had gathered, and sat down proudly in the middle of them. She seemed completely satisfied with her hard work.
Only then did I realize what she wanted.
LYLY simply wanted us to spend time together in the room with all of her favorite toys nearby. Her thoughtful effort to carry every single toy upstairs was her adorable way of creating the perfect play area for us.
That small gesture surprised me more than words can describe and reminded me just how clever and affectionate little LYLY truly is.
