The morning sun peeked through the window, filling the room with warm golden light. Birds were singing outside, and the delicious smell of breakfast drifted through the house. Mom had already prepared a tasty meal with fresh fruit, warm bread, and a glass of milk. Everything was ready—except for one sleepy little monkey named LYLY.
Curled up tightly under her soft blanket, LYLY was still fast asleep. Mom gently opened the bedroom door and smiled at her adorable daughter. “Good morning, LYLY,” she said softly. “It’s time to wake up and enjoy breakfast.”
LYLY slowly opened one eye, let out a tiny yawn, and pulled the blanket over her head again.
“I don’t want to get up,” she mumbled sleepily.
Mom couldn’t help but giggle. She gently rubbed LYLY’s back and whispered, “If you don’t wake up soon, your yummy breakfast might get cold.”
But LYLY simply shook her head and hugged her favorite stuffed toy even tighter. She made a tiny pouting face, hoping Mom would let her sleep a little longer.
Knowing her little monkey well, Mom came up with a fun idea. She began pretending that the breakfast on the table was talking.
“Oh dear!” Mom said in a funny voice. “The bananas are wondering where LYLY is! The strawberries are waiting to say hello, and the warm bread is feeling lonely!”
Hearing this, LYLY peeked out from under the blanket. She couldn’t stop herself from smiling.
Mom continued her playful story, making the fruit “sing” a silly wake-up song. Soon, LYLY started giggling. Her sleepy mood disappeared as she sat up in bed, rubbing her eyes with a big smile.
Mom gave her a warm hug and helped her wash her face and brush her teeth. Together, they walked to the dining table, where breakfast looked even more delicious than before.
LYLY happily took her first bite and smiled from ear to ear. “This is so yummy!” she exclaimed.
Mom laughed and said, “See? Waking up wasn’t so hard after all!”
After finishing breakfast, LYLY felt full of energy and ready for a fun day of playing in the garden with her mom. She even thanked Mom for patiently waking her up.
From that morning on, LYLY remembered that every new day begins best with a cheerful smile, a loving family, and a healthy breakfast shared together. Even on sleepy mornings, Mom always knew just how to make her little monkey smile.
