One peaceful afternoon, little monkey Lyly was unusually quiet around the house. Normally, she loved running, climbing trees, and making playful noise everywhere she went. But today, her family noticed something strange. Lyly kept sneaking away to different corners of the yard while trying not to be seen.
Her mother became curious and quietly followed behind her. “Lyly… what are you doing?” Mom whispered softly.
But Lyly quickly turned around, placed one tiny finger over her mouth, and made a “shhh” sound. Her serious little expression looked so funny that Mom almost laughed immediately.
A few minutes later, Lyly disappeared behind the kitchen. When Mom carefully peeked around the corner, she saw the cutest thing ever. Lyly was trying to feed tiny pieces of banana to a group of baby chicks. She carefully broke the banana into small bites and gently placed them on the ground while speaking softly to the chicks like they were her little friends.
The chicks happily gathered around her feet, and Lyly smiled proudly as if she were their babysitter. Every time one chick wandered too far away, Lyly carefully guided it back with her tiny hands. Her loving and gentle behavior completely melted Mom’s heart.
But Lyly still had more surprises.
After feeding the chicks, she found a small leaf and used it like a fan to cool down the family puppy, who was sleeping under the tree. The puppy looked so comfortable that it slowly rolled onto its back while Lyly continued fanning him very seriously. She even wiped the puppy’s nose gently with a cloth like a tiny nurse.
Soon, the whole family gathered quietly to watch Lyly’s adorable actions. Nobody wanted to interrupt her sweet little “animal care mission.” Dad could not stop smiling as he whispered, “Lyly is becoming the kindest monkey in the world.”
When Lyly finally noticed everyone watching her, she became shy and covered her face with both hands. The family laughed warmly and hugged her tightly.
That simple afternoon became a beautiful memory for everyone. Lyly’s unexpected kindness and adorable actions reminded the whole family that even the smallest gestures can bring the biggest happiness and love into a home.
