One quiet afternoon, the house felt a little different because Dad had gone out to work in the far garden and would not be home until evening. Usually, Dad was the one who helped prepare delicious meals, so little Lala looked worried when her tummy started to rumble. She sat near the kitchen door, holding her little spoon, wondering who would make something yummy for her.
That was when clever Monkey BiBi stepped forward with a bright smile. “Don’t worry, Lala! Today I’ll cook a special meal just for you,” BiBi said proudly. Lala’s eyes sparkled with excitement, though she was a little surprised because Dad was not there to help.
BiBi climbed onto a small stool and carefully looked around the kitchen. There were ripe bananas, sweet potatoes, fresh corn, and a few juicy berries in the basket. BiBi thought for a moment and decided to make Lala a colorful fruit-and-corn porridge, one of her favorite treats.
The little monkey worked very hard. First, BiBi peeled the bananas and mashed them into a soft paste. Then she added warm corn porridge and stirred it gently with a wooden spoon. To make it extra special, she placed tiny berry pieces on top like colorful jewels. The sweet smell quickly filled the kitchen and drifted into the living room.
Lala clapped happily and followed the delicious scent. When the bowl was finally ready, BiBi carefully carried it to the table. “This is my special meal for you, made with love,” BiBi said proudly.
Lala took a tiny bite, then another, and suddenly her face lit up with joy. It was creamy, sweet, and warm—absolutely perfect. She smiled so wide that BiBi’s heart felt full of happiness.
Even without Dad in the kitchen, BiBi had managed to create something wonderful. When Dad returned home later, he was amazed to see the empty bowl and Lala’s happy face. Lala quickly pointed at BiBi, showing who had made the delicious meal.
Dad laughed warmly and praised BiBi for being so caring and responsible. From that day on, everyone remembered the sweet moment when Monkey BiBi cooked a special meal for Lala all by herself, proving that love is the most important ingredient in every dish.
