It was an ordinary morning, and Monkey LYLY was busy playing around the house. She had just finished breakfast and was looking for her mom. Usually, her mother would be cleaning, cooking, or getting ready for the day. But today, she seemed to be nowhere in sight.
“Mom? Mom?” LYLY called as she wandered from room to room.
Suddenly, she noticed that the bathroom door was closed. Certain that her mother was inside, LYLY grinned mischievously. She had a funny idea. She would surprise her mom with a silly joke!
Quietly, LYLY tiptoed to the bathroom door. She listened carefully and heard someone moving around inside. Without thinking twice, she pushed the door open and shouted, “Got you, Mom!”
To her shock, the person inside was not her mother at all.
It was her aunt, who had come to visit that morning and was using the bathroom. LYLY froze in place. Her eyes widened, and her face turned bright red with embarrassment.
Her aunt looked surprised for a second before bursting into laughter.
“Oh my goodness, LYLY!” she said, trying not to laugh too hard. “I think you have the wrong person!”
LYLY quickly covered her face with both hands. She felt so embarrassed that she wanted to disappear. She mumbled an apology and hurried out of the bathroom as fast as she could.
Unfortunately for LYLY, the funny incident didn’t stay a secret for long. Her aunt shared the story with the rest of the family, and soon everyone was laughing about the misunderstanding.
Even LYLY’s mother couldn’t stop giggling.
For a while, LYLY felt a little upset about being teased. But later, she realized that everyone was laughing because the mistake was harmless and funny.
By the afternoon, LYLY was laughing too. She admitted that she should have checked who was inside before trying to play a prank.
From that day on, LYLY learned an important lesson: always make sure you know who someone is before surprising them! The family continued to joke about the bathroom mix-up for weeks, and it became one of LYLY’s funniest memories.
