Monkey Lyly is LAZY and tries everything to help her mother because she’s too busy watching TV.

One sunny afternoon, Monkey Lyly sat comfortably on the couch with her eyes glued to the television. Her favorite cartoon was playing, and she laughed loudly while munching on banana chips. Meanwhile, her mother was busy cleaning the house, washing clothes, and preparing lunch in the kitchen all by herself.

“Lyly, can you help me carry these vegetables?” Mom called gently.

But Lyly didn’t even turn around. “In a minute, Mom!” she answered while continuing to watch TV. A few minutes later, another funny scene appeared on the screen, and Lyly completely forgot about helping.

Her mother sighed but continued working alone. Soon, she asked again, “Lyly, please sweep the floor while I cook.”

This time, the lazy little monkey tried to think of an excuse. She grabbed a blanket, wrapped herself up dramatically, and pretended to be tired. “Mom, I think I’m too sleepy to clean,” Lyly said with a fake yawn.

However, the moment a commercial ended and her cartoon returned, Lyly suddenly sat up excitedly again. Mom secretly noticed everything but decided not to argue.

Later, Lyly’s mother asked her to help wash the dishes. Lyly quickly came up with another trick. She slowly held one tiny plate and pretended it was extremely heavy. “Oh no, Mom! I’m too weak today!” she complained while making funny faces.

Even though Lyly kept avoiding chores, her mother stayed patient. After finishing all the work alone, Mom finally sat beside Lyly and quietly turned off the TV.

“Hey! Why did you turn it off?” Lyly asked in surprise.

Her mother smiled softly and said, “Watching TV is fun, but helping family is important too. If everyone becomes lazy, who will take care of the home?”

Lyly looked around and suddenly noticed how tired her mother seemed. The kitchen was messy, laundry baskets were full, and Mom’s hands looked exhausted from working all day.

At that moment, Lyly felt guilty. She realized her mother needed help, not excuses.

Without another word, Lyly jumped up and started cleaning the dishes as quickly as possible. She even swept the floor and folded clothes neatly. Mom smiled proudly at the hardworking little monkey.

That evening, after finishing everything together, they finally sat down to watch TV side by side. Lyly learned that helping her mother made her feel happier than cartoons ever could.
