One bright morning, Monkey Lyly was getting ready to go outside with her mother. She was excited because Mom had planned a fun day together. But when Lyly looked around for her favorite pair of shoes, they were nowhere to be found!
She checked beside the door, under the chair, and even behind a small basket. Still, there was no sign of her shoes. Lyly scratched her head and suddenly remembered that she might have put them somewhere in the shoe closet.
Without telling Mom, Lyly hurried over and opened the closet. It was packed with shoes of different sizes and colors. Instead of carefully looking through them, Lyly began rummaging through everything!
She pulled out sandals, slippers, boots, and several pairs of old shoes. One shoe fell onto the floor, then another. Soon, shoes were scattered everywhere. Lyly crawled into the closet, moving boxes around and checking every corner.
“Where are my shoes?” Lyly wondered.
She became more determined and continued searching. Before long, the neat shoe closet had turned into a hilarious mess.
Meanwhile, Mom was busy preparing things for their outing. She suddenly heard strange noises coming from the hallway. Curious, she walked over to see what was happening.
When Mom saw the shoe closet, she was completely surprised!
“Lyly! What happened here?” Mom asked.
Lyly froze. She slowly turned around while holding one shoe in each hand. Her innocent expression made Mom want to laugh, even though she was a little shocked by the mess.
Mom explained that Lyly should have asked for help instead of pulling everything out. Lyly looked at the scattered shoes and realized she had created quite a problem.
Luckily, Mom did not stay angry. She asked Lyly to help put everything back where it belonged.
Lyly quickly got to work. She matched pairs together and returned the shoes to the shelves. After a few minutes, the closet was neat again.
Then, at the very back of the closet, Lyly finally found her favorite shoes!
She proudly held them up and smiled. Mom laughed and reminded her that next time, she should look carefully before turning the whole closet upside down.
Lyly nodded, put on her shoes, and happily went outside with Mom. It had been a funny little adventure—and a good lesson about keeping things tidy!
