The afternoon sky slowly turned gray as dark clouds gathered above the little home where Monkey LYLY lived with her loving mother. A gentle breeze rustled through the trees, and soon, the first drops of rain began to fall.
LYLY quickly ran to the window with excitement. She loved watching the rain, especially when the tiny drops sparkled on the green leaves outside.
“Mom, come and see!” LYLY called happily.
Her mother smiled and joined her. Instead of running outside, she had a sweet idea. She prepared two small cups of warm tea and placed them on a little table near the window. LYLY’s eyes lit up when she saw her special cup waiting for her.
The two sat side by side, listening to the soft sound of raindrops tapping against the roof.
LYLY carefully lifted her tiny cup with both hands and took a small sip. The warm tea made her smile. She looked outside at the rain falling over the garden and felt peaceful and cozy.
Her mother gently wrapped an arm around her.
For a while, neither of them said anything. They simply enjoyed the quiet moment together. The trees swayed in the wind, puddles slowly formed on the ground, and little streams of water ran along the path.
Suddenly, LYLY noticed a small bird hiding beneath a leafy branch to stay dry. She pointed at it and giggled.
“Look, Mom! Even the bird is enjoying the rain!”
Her mother laughed softly. “Maybe he is waiting for the sunshine, just like us.”
LYLY rested her head on her mother’s shoulder and took another little sip of tea. She realized that the rainy day was not boring at all. In fact, it had become one of the most beautiful afternoons she could remember.
There was no need for games, toys, or exciting adventures. Sometimes, happiness could be found in the simplest moments—sitting beside someone you love, drinking something warm, and watching the rain fall outside.
As the rain became lighter, a soft golden light appeared in the sky. LYLY smiled and hugged her mother tightly.
“Mom, can we do this again next time it rains?”
Her mother kissed her gently and smiled. “Of course, my little LYLY.”
And so, LYLY and her mother stayed by the window a little longer, sipping their tea and enjoying a quiet, heartwarming moment that made the rainy afternoon feel truly magical.
