Monkey LYLY Was Eager to Swim After Being Out in the Sun, But Her Mother Disagreed Because

After spending the entire morning playing outside under the bright sunshine, little Monkey LYLY was hot, sweaty, and full of energy. She had been climbing trees, chasing butterflies, and helping her dad gather fresh fruits from the garden. By the time the afternoon arrived, LYLY couldn’t stop thinking about one thingโ€”a cool swim in the nearby pond.

With sparkling eyes, she ran to her mother and excitedly said, “Mom, can I go swimming? The water looks so refreshing!”

Her mother smiled but gently shook her head. “Not yet, LYLY. You’ve been under the hot sun for hours. Jumping into cold water right away isn’t a good idea.”

LYLY pouted and crossed her little arms. “But I’m so hot! Just a quick swim!”

Her mother patiently explained that when the body becomes very warm from the sun, suddenly entering cool water can make someone feel dizzy or uncomfortable. She wanted LYLY to rest in the shade, drink plenty of water, and let her body cool down naturally first.

Although disappointed, LYLY listened. She sat under a large mango tree, enjoyed a fresh coconut drink, and chatted with her dad while the cool breeze slowly dried the sweat from her fur. Soon, she began to feel much better.

About thirty minutes later, her mother checked on her again. Feeling that LYLY had cooled down enough, she smiled warmly and said, “Now it’s the perfect time.”

LYLY’s face instantly lit up with joy. She happily ran to the pond, carefully stepped into the water, and began splashing around with laughter. She floated on her little bamboo tube while colorful dragonflies danced above the water. Her father joined in, making funny splashes that had LYLY giggling nonstop.

After swimming, the family relaxed together on the grassy bank while enjoying juicy watermelon slices. LYLY thanked her mother for caring about her health and realized that waiting a little while had made the swim even more enjoyable.

That evening, LYLY learned an important lesson: sometimes parents say “not yet” not to spoil the fun, but to keep their children safe and healthy. From then on, she always remembered to cool down before jumping into the water after a long day in the sun.
