One afternoon, Monkey LYLY and her mother went shopping at a large clothing store. LYLY was excited because she loved colorful outfits, especially beautiful princess dresses. As they walked through the store, something magical caught her eye.
In the center of the shop stood a huge display filled with princess dresses of every color imaginable. There were sparkling pink gowns, elegant blue dresses, glittery purple outfits, and even dresses decorated with tiny stars and flowers. The dresses shimmered under the bright lights, making them look like they belonged in a fairy tale.
LYLY’s eyes grew wide with excitement.
“Wow! So many princess dresses!” she squealed happily as she ran closer to admire them.
She imagined herself wearing each dress. In one, she was a princess attending a royal ball. In another, she was the queen of a magical kingdom. The more she looked, the more excited she became.
But when LYLY reached for a beautiful pink dress, her mother gently stopped her.
“Those dresses aren’t ours, sweetheart,” Mom explained with a smile. “They belong to the store.”
LYLY blinked in surprise. She looked around again and realized that none of the dresses belonged to her. Her excitement slowly faded, and she felt a little disappointed.
For a moment, she sat quietly, staring at the beautiful display.
Seeing her sadness, Mom knelt beside her and said, “Just because they aren’t yours today doesn’t mean you can’t dream about them. Maybe one day we’ll find the perfect princess dress just for you.”
Those words made LYLY feel better.
Together, they continued exploring the store. Soon, they discovered a smaller section with children’s clothes. There, LYLY found a lovely dress decorated with tiny hearts and ribbons. It wasn’t as fancy as the princess gowns, but it was comfortable, cute, and just her size.
Mom decided to buy it as a special surprise.
When LYLY put on her new dress, she twirled around happily. She realized that being a princess wasn’t about wearing the most expensive gown—it was about feeling happy and confident.
With a big smile, LYLY left the store feeling like a princess after all.
