Early in the morning, monkey Xuka woke up feeling excited and full of energy. As he stepped outside, he heard soft squealing sounds coming from the piglet pen. The tiny piglet Pinky looked hungry and restless, walking around in circles while searching for food. Dad smiled and said, “Today we’ll make a fresh bell pepper salad for Pinky. Would you like to help me, Xuka?”
Xuka clapped his hands happily and nodded right away. He loved helping Dad in the garden, especially when it involved taking care of animals. Carrying a small basket, the little monkey followed Dad to the vegetable field where colorful bell peppers grew under the warm sunlight.
The garden looked beautiful that morning. Bright red, yellow, and green bell peppers hung heavily from the plants. Xuka’s eyes widened with amazement because he had never seen so many ripe peppers at once. Dad carefully showed him how to pick them without damaging the stems.
Trying his best to help, Xuka stretched both arms and gently twisted the peppers one by one. Sometimes he picked tiny peppers by mistake, making Dad laugh softly. But Xuka worked very carefully and proudly filled the basket with fresh vegetables.
After harvesting enough peppers, they brought the basket back to the kitchen. Dad washed the vegetables while Xuka stood on a small chair beside him. The little monkey helped remove seeds from the peppers and placed the slices neatly into a large bowl. Dad added lettuce, cucumbers, and small carrot pieces to make the salad healthier for Pinky.
Soon, the colorful salad was ready. It smelled fresh and delicious. Xuka carefully carried the bowl toward the piglet pen while Dad followed behind him. The moment Pinky saw the salad, the little piglet squealed excitedly and wagged its curly tail.
Xuka laughed happily as Pinky began munching on the crunchy vegetables. Some pepper pieces even stuck around the piglet’s mouth, making the funny little animal look adorable. Dad gently patted Xuka’s shoulder and said proudly, “You worked very hard today.”
Hearing those words made Xuka smile brightly. He felt proud knowing that his hard work helped feed his beloved piglet friend. From that day on, Xuka became even more eager to help Dad harvest vegetables and care for the animals on their little farm.
