One bright and sunny morning, Monkey Xuka woke up early and stretched happily. The fresh air smelled wonderful, and birds were singing in the trees. As Xuka walked outside, he saw his aunt working in the vegetable garden. She looked busy picking colorful bell peppers.
“Good morning, Aunt!” Xuka called cheerfully.
“Good morning, Xuka,” Aunt replied with a smile. “I’m harvesting bell peppers for breakfast. I want to make delicious stir-fried noodles, but there are so many peppers to pick!”
Xuka loved helping his family. “I can help you!” he said excitedly.
His aunt was delighted. Together, they carried small baskets and walked between the rows of healthy bell pepper plants. There were red, yellow, and green peppers hanging from the branches. Xuka carefully picked the ripe ones and placed them in his basket. He worked quickly but gently so he wouldn’t damage the plants.
“You’re doing a great job!” Aunt praised him.
Soon, their baskets were full. They brought the fresh peppers back to the kitchen. Aunt washed the vegetables while Xuka helped slice the bell peppers into thin strips. He also prepared carrots and onions for the noodles.
When everything was ready, Aunt heated a large pan. The vegetables sizzled as they touched the hot surface. The colorful peppers made the dish look beautiful. Then she added the noodles and mixed everything together. A wonderful aroma filled the kitchen.
“Wow, it smells amazing!” Xuka said, his stomach rumbling.
Aunt laughed. “That’s because we used fresh vegetables from the garden.”
A few minutes later, breakfast was ready. The stir-fried noodles looked delicious with their bright vegetables and savory sauce. Xuka and his aunt sat down together to enjoy the meal.
“This is the best breakfast ever!” Xuka exclaimed after taking a big bite.
“It tastes even better because you helped make it,” Aunt replied warmly.
Xuka smiled proudly. He learned that helping family not only made work easier but also made meals more special. From that day on, he was always eager to lend a hand in the garden and kitchen whenever his aunt needed help.
