Baby Monkey had always felt safe in his little home. It was a warm and peaceful place surrounded by trees, familiar sounds, and all the things he loved. Every morning, Dad would make sure everything was safe before heading out to take care of his daily work. Baby Monkey usually waited happily for him to return.
But one afternoon, something unexpected happened.
Dad had only been gone for a short time when Baby Monkey heard a strange noise outside. At first, he froze. His little eyes grew wide as the sound came closer. The leaves rustled, branches shook, and Baby Monkey began to feel nervous. There was no Dad nearby to protect him.
For a moment, Baby Monkey wanted to hide. His heart was beating fast, and every instinct told him to run somewhere safe. But then he looked around at his home. This was his special place. Dad had worked hard to keep it safe, and Baby Monkey didn’t want anything to disturb it.
Taking a deep breath, the tiny monkey stood bravely near the entrance. He watched carefully and listened to every sound. Even though he was scared, he refused to leave. His small body trembled, but his courage was stronger than his fear.
The mysterious noise continued, and Baby Monkey made a few brave warning sounds to show that he was not going to give up easily. He stayed alert, protecting his home the best way he could.
Then, just when Baby Monkey thought he could not be brave any longer, he heard a familiar sound.
“Baby!”
It was Dad!
Baby Monkey’s face immediately changed. All his fear disappeared, and he rushed toward Dad as fast as his little legs could carry him. He jumped into Dad’s arms, holding him tightly as if he never wanted to let go again.
Dad gently hugged his brave little monkey and looked around to make sure everything was safe. Whatever had caused the strange noise was gone, and the home was peaceful once more.
Baby Monkey looked up at Dad with proud but tired eyes. He may have been small, but that day he had discovered something important: being brave doesn’t mean you’re never scared. Sometimes, courage means standing strong even when your heart is shaking.
