The morning sun had just risen over the peaceful countryside, and everything seemed calm. Birds were singing, the flowers sparkled with fresh dew, and the chickens wandered happily around the farm. But one little monkey had a very different plan for the day.
Zika, the clever and mischievous monkey, woke up with a rumbling tummy. He stretched his arms, scratched his head, and sniffed the air, hoping to find something delicious for breakfast. As he wandered through the garden, he spotted the chicken coop nearby. Suddenly, a funny idea popped into his mind.
“Maybe the chickens have something tasty for me today!” Zika whispered with a cheeky grin.
He carefully tiptoed toward the coop, making sure none of the chickens noticed him. The hens were busy pecking at the ground, completely unaware of the sneaky visitor. Zika slowly reached inside one of the nesting boxes and discovered a beautiful, fresh egg.
His eyes grew wide with excitement.
“Wow! This will make the perfect breakfast!” he laughed quietly as he gently picked up the egg.
Holding the precious egg with both hands, Zika hurried away before the hens realized what had happened. Behind him, one curious chicken looked around and let out a loud cluck, as if sounding the alarm. Soon, the whole flock began making noisy complaints.
Zika giggled as he ran across the field, carefully protecting his breakfast prize. He knew he had to find a safe place before anyone caught him.
Finally, he reached a quiet spot beneath a large mango tree. Sitting down, he admired the smooth egg and started thinking about how to cook it. Should he fry it over a small fire? Boil it in a tiny pot? Or maybe make a delicious omelet with vegetables from the garden?
Just as Zika was gathering sticks to build a little campfire, he heard footsteps coming closer.
Someone had followed him!
Zika quickly hid the egg behind his back and looked around nervously. Who had discovered his secret? Would the chickens get their egg back, or would Zika finally enjoy his dream breakfast?
