It was a warm and sunny afternoon when little Monkey Abu came home after an exciting morning of climbing trees, playing in the garden, and splashing through muddy puddles with his friends. His fur was covered in dust, tiny leaves, and little spots of mud from head to toe.
As soon as Mom saw him, she smiled and said, “Abu, it’s bath time!”
Abu quickly shook his head. “No, Mom! I don’t want a bath today. I’m still having fun!”
He grabbed his favorite toy and dashed into the living room, hoping Mom would forget all about it. But everywhere Abu went, he left little muddy footprints across the clean floor. Even the family cat sniffed him and walked away as if to say, “Someone needs a bath!”
Mom gently followed him without getting upset. “Abu,” she said kindly, “taking a bath helps wash away dirt and keeps your skin and fur clean. You’ll feel much more comfortable afterward.”
Still, Abu crossed his arms and pouted. “Baths take too long!”
Dad overheard the conversation and came up with a fun idea. He filled the bathtub with warm water and added colorful floating toy boats, rubber ducks, and a small bubble maker. Then he called out, “Captain Abu! Your adventure ship is ready to sail!”
Curious, Abu peeked into the bathroom. His eyes grew wide when he saw bubbles floating everywhere and toy boats waiting in the water. He couldn’t help smiling.
Slowly, Abu stepped into the tub. Before long, he was laughing, making the toy boats race through the bubbles and pretending to rescue the little rubber ducks. Mom gently washed his fur while Dad joined the game by creating funny bubble beards.
After the bath, Abu looked shiny, clean, and refreshed. He sniffed his fresh-smelling fur and giggled. “I actually feel really good!”
Mom wrapped him in a soft towel and gave him a warm hug. “See? Sometimes the things we don’t want to do turn out to be fun.”
That evening, Abu happily promised not to skip bath time again. He learned that staying clean isn’t just important for health—it can also become a joyful family adventure filled with laughter, imagination, and love.
