One quiet afternoon, the whole family was relaxing in the backyard. The sun was shining brightly, and little CUTIS was playing happily near the garden. Everyone knew CUTIS was playful and curious, but nobody expected the naughty adventure that would happen that day.
While Dad was watering the vegetables, CUTIS secretly wandered into the kitchen. He noticed a large bowl of freshly prepared soup sitting on the table for dinner. The delicious smell made him excited. CUTIS climbed onto a chair and tried to sneak a taste, but suddenly — CRASH!
The bowl fell onto the floor and shattered into pieces. Soup splashed everywhere across the kitchen walls and floor. CUTIS froze in fear. His little hands trembled as he stared at the huge mess he had made.
Hearing the loud noise, Mom quickly ran into the kitchen. She looked shocked at the disaster. Dad also came inside and sighed deeply after seeing the broken bowl and wasted food. CUTIS became very nervous because he knew everyone was upset.
Instead of apologizing, CUTIS slowly backed away. He thought the family would be angry forever. Feeling ashamed and scared, he quietly grabbed his tiny backpack and walked toward the front gate.
Outside, the sky became cloudy, and the wind started blowing softly. CUTIS sat alone near the roadside, hugging his knees sadly. For the first time, he realized how lonely it felt to leave home. He missed Mom’s warm hugs and Dad’s gentle voice.
Back at home, the family searched everywhere for CUTIS. Even though they were upset about the accident, they were more worried about his safety. Dad finally spotted CUTIS sitting under a tree nearby.
Dad slowly walked over and sat beside him. “Everyone makes mistakes,” Dad said kindly. “But running away is not the answer.”
CUTIS lowered his head and burst into tears. He apologized for causing trouble and promised to be more careful next time.
The family returned home together, cleaned the kitchen as a team, and shared a simple dinner. That night, CUTIS learned an important lesson: no matter how big the mistake is, family love is always stronger.
