It started like a normal morning, but suddenly everything changed. CUTIS, who was usually cheerful and full of energy, looked very weak and quiet. Dad immediately noticed that something was wrong. Instead of running around and playing happily, CUTIS was lying still on the sofa with tired eyes and a warm forehead.
“OMG! CUTIS suddenly got sick!” Dad said nervously as he quickly touched CUTIS’s head again. “Why is your body so hot?”
CUTIS softly looked at Dad and tried to smile, but it was clear that he did not feel well at all. Dad became very worried and rushed to bring cold water and a soft towel. He gently placed the towel on CUTIS’s forehead while checking his temperature again and again.
The whole house suddenly became quiet. Even the playful puppy stayed beside CUTIS silently as if understanding the situation. Dad sat next to him the entire time, watching carefully and hoping he would feel better soon.
After a few minutes, Dad prepared warm soup and encouraged CUTIS to eat a little. “You need strength to recover,” Dad said kindly. Although CUTIS did not have much appetite, he slowly ate a few spoonfuls to make Dad less worried.
As the rain started falling outside, Dad decided to take CUTIS to the clinic for a check-up. Along the way, Dad kept asking softly, “Are you okay now? Do you still feel dizzy?” CUTIS quietly nodded but still looked tired.
Fortunately, after the doctor examined him carefully, they discovered it was only a seasonal fever caused by exhaustion and hot weather. The doctor advised CUTIS to rest, drink plenty of water, and avoid running around for a few days.
Dad finally felt relieved after hearing the good news. Back at home, he prepared a comfortable blanket and stayed beside CUTIS all evening. He even canceled his work just to take care of him.
By nighttime, CUTIS slowly started feeling better. He smiled weakly and thanked Dad for caring for him so much. Dad gently patted his head and said, “Seeing you sick made me so worried. Just rest well and get healthy again.”
That touching moment showed everyone how strong a father’s love can truly be.
