One bright morning, Lily woke up earlier than usual. She watched her dad getting ready for work and noticed that he was in a big hurry. He packed his things, checked his bag, and prepared to leave the house.
Lily wanted to spend the day with him, but Dad gently explained that he had to go to work.
Lily looked disappointed.
After giving her a loving pat on the head, Dad reminded her to stay home with Mom and behave herself. Then he waved goodbye and headed off to work.
For a little while, Lily stayed inside. But she soon became bored.
She looked around the house and wondered what Dad was doing at work. She imagined him working hard and thought about how much she missed him already.
Then Lily suddenly had an idea.
She quietly walked toward the door.
“I’ll go find Dad!” she seemed to decide.
Without telling Mom, Lily slipped outside.
At first, she happily walked down the familiar path, looking around with curiosity. But after going farther from home, everything suddenly seemed different.
Lily stopped.
She didn’t know where Dad was.
Her excitement quickly turned into worry.
Meanwhile, Mom realized that Lily was missing. She searched the house and called her name. When she saw the open door, she immediately became concerned.
Mom hurried outside and began looking everywhere.
Fortunately, Lily had not gone very far. She was sitting near a safe spot beside the path, looking confused and wondering how to get back home.
When Lily saw Mom approaching, she immediately ran into her arms.
Mom hugged her tightly and sighed with relief.
She gently explained that leaving home without telling an adult was very dangerous. If Lily wanted to see Dad, she could simply wait until he came home or ask Mom to take her safely.
Lily lowered her head, realizing her mistake.
Later that afternoon, Dad returned from work. The moment Lily saw him, she ran over and gave him a huge hug.
Dad was relieved to see that she was safe. After hearing what happened, he gently reminded Lily that he loved her very much and wanted her to stay safe.
Lily nodded and promised never to leave home secretly again.
That evening, the family stayed together, grateful that everything had ended happily. ❤️🐒🏡
