Monkey Zika loved his garden more than anything in the world. Every morning, he happily watered the vegetables, picked weeds, and proudly checked on his growing tomatoes, carrots, and watermelons. The little garden behind the house was Zika’s favorite place to relax and play.
But one terrible morning, something shocking happened. 😱
As soon as Zika stepped outside with his tiny watering can, he suddenly froze in horror.
The garden was completely destroyed!
The tomato plants were broken. Watermelons were smashed open on the ground. Muddy footprints covered the garden beds, and several flower pots had been knocked over. Even Zika’s little scarecrow was lying face down in the dirt.
“OMG!!!” Zika screamed dramatically while dropping his watering can.
He ran around the garden in panic, unable to believe what he was seeing. Yesterday everything had been beautiful and healthy. Now it looked like a storm had attacked during the night.
Dad rushed outside after hearing Zika cry.
“What happened here?” Dad asked in shock.
Zika pointed at the mess with watery eyes. “The bad guys ruined my garden!” he cried sadly.
The little monkey sat down in the dirt looking heartbroken. He had worked so hard taking care of every tiny plant. Seeing them destroyed made him feel like crying too.
But then something strange caught Dad’s attention.
Near the broken watermelon patch were several funny-looking footprints… paw prints!
Dad carefully followed the tracks across the yard while Zika nervously followed behind him. The footprints finally led to the old wooden fence where they discovered the real “bad guys.”
Three naughty baby pigs were sleeping nearby with watermelon pieces still stuck around their mouths! 😂🐷
The pigs had escaped from the neighbor’s farm during the night and secretly turned Zika’s garden into their personal buffet.
For a moment, Zika stared silently at the sleepy pigs. Then one pig suddenly burped loudly while another rolled over with a watermelon rind on its head.
Dad burst into laughter immediately.
Even Zika couldn’t stay angry anymore. Soon he was laughing so hard he fell backward into the grass.
Although the garden was damaged, Dad promised they would rebuild it together. That afternoon, Zika planted new vegetables with even more determination than before.
And from that day on, Zika made one important new rule:
“No hungry pigs allowed in the garden!” 😂🌱🐵
