One cloudy afternoon, baby monkey Zika was playing happily in the yard. He was jumping around, chasing leaves, and having fun with his favorite ball. The weather seemed perfect, and Zika didn’t notice the dark clouds slowly gathering overhead.
Suddenly, a loud rumble echoed through the sky.
“Boom!”
Zika looked up in surprise. Before he could run inside, tiny raindrops began falling from the clouds.
At first, Zika thought it was exciting.
“Rain!” he seemed to say as he clapped his little hands.
Instead of seeking shelter, the playful monkey danced around the yard. He splashed in puddles, spun in circles, and laughed as the cool drops landed on his fur.
The rain became heavier and heavier.
Soon, Zika was completely soaked from head to toe. His fluffy fur stuck to his body, making him look much smaller than usual. When he caught his reflection in a puddle, he tilted his head in confusion.
“Who is that funny-looking monkey?” his expression seemed to say.
His family couldn’t stop laughing when they saw him.
But after a while, Zika began to shiver.
The rain felt much colder now, and he realized being wet wasn’t as fun as he had imagined. He wrapped his arms around himself and hurried toward the house.
As soon as Uncle saw him, he quickly grabbed a soft towel.
“Oh no, Zika! You’re soaked!”
Uncle carefully dried Zika’s fur while Zika sat quietly, looking a little embarrassed. After that, he was wrapped in a warm blanket and given a cup of warm milk.
Within minutes, Zika started feeling much better.
Then something hilarious happened.
As his fur dried, it became extra fluffy. It puffed up so much that he looked like a tiny furry ball! Everyone burst into laughter, including Zika.
He ran to a mirror and stared at his giant fluffy reflection. The sight was so funny that he started jumping around excitedly again.
By the end of the day, Zika had learned an important lesson: playing in the rain can be fun, but it’s important to dry off and stay warm afterward.
And his fluffy post-rain hairstyle became the funniest memory of all!
