It was a quiet morning on the farm, but something felt very different to Baby Monkey Lala. Usually, he would wake up excited to run outside and play with his best friend, a small white duck who followed him everywhere. The two friends spent every day together exploring the garden, splashing in puddles, and sharing snacks under the trees.
But today, the little duck did not come running to greet him.
Lala searched around the yard with growing worry. He looked near the pond, behind the flowers, and beside the small wooden fence where they often rested together. When he finally found his beloved duck friend lying still, Lala froze in sadness.
The playful monkey gently touched his friend’s feathers, hoping the duck would stand up and waddle beside him once again. But nothing happened.
Tears slowly rolled down Lala’s cheeks as he realized his dear friend was gone forever.
Lala sat quietly beside the duck, remembering all the happy moments they had shared together. He remembered chasing butterflies across the grass, watching the sunset by the pond, and cuddling close during rainy afternoons. Their friendship may have been simple, but to Lala it meant everything.
Seeing the little monkey so heartbroken touched everyone around him. His family stayed close, comforting him as he said his goodbye to his feathered companion.
Together, they prepared a peaceful resting place beneath a shady tree near the pond where the duck loved to play. Lala carefully placed a few flowers beside the grave as a final gift to his best friend.
Although Lala’s heart was heavy with sadness, he knew he would never forget the joy his duck friend brought into his life.
Some friendships are small in size but enormous in love.
