It was a bright morning, but Baby Monkey was not feeling very brave. Dad had told him they were going to the clinic for an important visit, and the little monkey had no idea what was waiting for him.
When they arrived, Baby Monkey looked around nervously. The unfamiliar room, strange sounds, and medical equipment made him want to stay as close to Dad as possible.
Dad gently held him in his arms and tried to keep him calm.
“Don’t worry, little one. I’m right here,” Dad seemed to say with a reassuring smile.
Baby Monkey hugged Dad tightly.
Soon, the nurse called them into the examination room. The doctor checked Baby Monkey carefully and explained that he was ready for his first vaccine. Dad listened carefully and made sure his little companion was comfortable.
But when Baby Monkey noticed the small syringe, his eyes became wide.
He immediately turned toward Dad and tried to hide his face against Dad’s chest.
The little monkey was scared.
Dad gently stroked his head and held him securely. He didn’t force him to face the syringe right away. Instead, he comforted him and helped him take a few calm breaths.
Baby Monkey slowly peeked out.
The nurse was kind and patient, waiting until he was relaxed enough.
Then, in just a few seconds, the vaccine was given.
Baby Monkey looked surprised.
That was it!
He had expected something much worse. Although he let out a tiny cry, Dad immediately hugged him and praised him for being so brave.
“You did it!” Dad celebrated proudly.
Baby Monkey buried his face in Dad’s shoulder for a moment, then looked back at the nurse with a curious expression.
Dad gave him a gentle cuddle and reminded him that getting vaccinated was an important part of staying healthy.
After the visit, Dad carried Baby Monkey outside. The little monkey seemed much happier now that the scary moment was over.
On the way home, Baby Monkey relaxed in Dad’s arms, feeling safe and proud.
Dad smiled as he watched him.
For Baby Monkey, it had been a big day. His first vaccine had been frightening at first, but with Dad beside him, he discovered that he could face something scary and get through it.
Sometimes, all a little one needs to feel brave is a loving parent holding them close.
