One bright morning, Lily woke up with a big smile on her face. She had been dreaming about her favorite cake all night, and now she had only one thing on her mind.
“Dad, can we make my favorite cake today?” Lily asked excitedly.
Dad smiled and agreed, but when they checked the kitchen, they discovered an important problem. There was no flour left!
“Oh no!” Lily said, looking disappointed.
Dad thought for a moment. “Then we’ll have to go to the market and buy some.”
Lily immediately became excited again. She loved going on little adventures with Dad, especially when there was a delicious cake waiting at the end. She quickly got ready and proudly carried a small shopping bag.
At the market, Lily stayed close to Dad and carefully looked at all the different items around her. There were fresh vegetables, colorful fruits, spices, and many kinds of food.
“Dad, where can we find the flour?” Lily asked.
Dad pointed toward a nearby stall, but Lily surprised him by walking ahead and finding it first. She carefully examined the different bags and helped Dad choose the right flour for their cake.
“Is this the one we need?” Lily asked proudly.
Dad smiled. “Yes, Smart Lily! You found it.”
After buying the flour, Lily helped carry the small bag as they walked home together. She was very careful because she didn’t want to spill anything before they started baking.
Back in the kitchen, Lily eagerly helped Dad prepare the ingredients. Dad measured the flour while Lily watched closely and helped mix everything together. She stirred the batter with great concentration, making sure it was smooth and perfect.
Soon, the delicious smell of cake began filling the house.
Lily waited impatiently as the cake baked. Every few minutes, she asked, “Is it ready yet?”
Finally, Dad took the warm cake out and placed it on the table. Lily’s eyes sparkled with happiness.
“It smells amazing!” she cheered.
After letting it cool, Dad cut a piece for Lily. She took one bite and smiled from ear to ear.
“This is the best cake ever!”
Dad laughed and gently patted her head. “That’s because you helped make it.”
Lily felt proud. She had helped Dad go to the market, choose the flour, carry the shopping bag, and prepare her favorite treat. It had been a simple trip, but for Lily, it became a sweet and unforgettable adventure.
