Smart Monkey Zika Helps Dad Harvest Watermelon to Feed the Pig

Early one sunny morning, Monkey Zika woke up excited to help his dad on the farm. The sky was bright blue, and a gentle breeze blew across the fields. As Zika stepped outside, he noticed that the watermelon patch was full of large, ripe watermelons ready to be harvested.

Dad smiled and said, “Zika, the pigs are hungry today. We need to harvest some watermelons to feed them. Can you help me?”

“Of course, Dad!” Zika replied eagerly.

Together, they walked to the watermelon field carrying baskets and a small cart. The watermelons were huge and green, resting among the vines. Dad showed Zika how to tell which watermelons were ripe by looking at the yellow spot on the bottom and listening for a deep hollow sound when tapped.

Zika quickly learned the trick. He carefully checked each watermelon and picked the best ones. Soon, he was finding ripe melons all by himself.

“Wow, Zika! You’re very smart,” Dad said proudly.

Zika beamed with happiness and continued working hard. After harvesting several large watermelons, they loaded them onto the cart and headed toward the pigpen.

The pigs immediately noticed them and began squealing excitedly.

“I think they know breakfast is coming!” Zika laughed.

Dad cut the watermelons into large pieces while Zika carried them to the feeding area. The pigs happily munched on the sweet, juicy fruit. Some pigs even wagged their tails as they ate.

One little piglet struggled to reach a watermelon piece. Seeing this, Zika quickly picked up a smaller slice and placed it in front of the piglet.

“There you go, little friend,” he said kindly.

The piglet happily gobbled it up.

Dad watched with a smile. “Not only are you smart, but you’re also very caring.”

After all the pigs were fed, Zika helped clean the area and refill their water troughs. The animals looked healthy and content.

As they headed home, Dad thanked Zika for all his help.

“I had fun today,” Zika said. “Helping the animals makes me happy.”

Dad nodded proudly. “A good farmer works hard and cares for every animal.”

That evening, Zika felt proud of what he had accomplished. He learned that teamwork, kindness, and responsibility are important lessons—and that helping Dad on the farm could be both rewarding and fun. 🍉🐷🐵
