One beautiful morning on the farm, Uncle woke up early to take care of his flock of ducks. The ducks were already awake, happily waddling around and quacking loudly as they waited for breakfast. Uncle had a lot of work to do, but luckily, he had a very smart helper by his side—Monkey Zika.
As soon as Zika saw Uncle carrying bags of duck feed, he ran over excitedly.
“Can I help today, Uncle?” Zika asked.
“Of course!” Uncle replied with a smile. “The ducks need feeding, fresh water, and their pen needs cleaning.”
Zika was eager to get started. First, he helped carry the feed to the duck enclosure. Although the bag was a little heavy, Zika worked hard and carefully poured the feed into the feeding trays. The ducks immediately gathered around, happily enjoying their breakfast.
Next, Zika noticed that some of the ducks’ water containers were nearly empty. Without being told, he grabbed a small bucket and helped refill them with clean, fresh water. The ducks eagerly splashed and drank from the containers.
Uncle was impressed.
“You’re becoming a great farm helper, Zika,” he said.
Zika smiled proudly and continued working.
After feeding time, it was time to clean the duck pen. Leaves, feathers, and bits of straw were scattered around. Zika grabbed a small broom and started sweeping. He worked carefully, making sure the ducks had a clean and comfortable place to live.
While cleaning, Zika noticed one little duckling had wandered away from the group. The tiny duck looked confused and couldn’t find its way back. Zika gently guided the duckling toward the others and made sure it was safe.
Uncle watched the scene and felt proud of his clever little friend.
By the afternoon, all the chores were finished. The ducks were well-fed, their water was fresh, and their home was spotless. They waddled around happily, quacking as if they were thanking Zika for his hard work.
As the sun began to set, Uncle and Zika sat near the pond watching the ducks swim peacefully. Uncle thanked Zika for all his help, and Zika felt happy knowing he had made a difference.
